米司法省Appleを独占禁止で提訴 - DOJ sues Apple for monopolization of smartphone markets

米国司法省は、3月21日、スマートフォン市場における独占を理由として、東部ニュージャージー州の連邦地方裁判所においてAppleを提訴したと発表した。司法省は、Appleは、iOSに関する支配を利用して革新的なアプリやストリーミングサービスの発展を阻害し、プラットフォーム横断的なメッセージアプリを排除するなどしたと主張している。米国では既に、Google、Facebook(Meta)、Amazonが独禁法違反で訴えられている。

On March 21, US Department of Justice announced it filed a civil anti-trust lawsuit against Apple for monopolization of smartphone market before East New Jersey Federal District Court together with 16 other states. DOJ alleges Apple’s uncompetitive course of conduct includes blocking innovative apps, suppressing mobile cloud streaming services and excluding cross-platform messaging apps.  In US, Google, Facebook (Meta), and Amazon have been already sued for violation of anti-trust laws.
